Man, I have a lot of incomplete posts at this point. Draft after draft, with nothing ready to go as I need to get together pictures, links, and a lot of text. But between crazy work and going off and doing these fun things, I'm not getting time to write about them. And it makes me look like I'm not appreciative of all the fun my friends have been throwing my way. So, the events in brief: Monday, June 25: Jury Duty, followed by extreme fun in first official session of Steam Wars, want more more more. Actually been too busy/low energy to update wiki. Saturday, June 30: "Heroes" @ Axis with the old "Entourage", plus my sister Cathy's birthday dancing, for more extreme fun. Did indeed run into Ian P—, but only weirdness was having to explain how I knew him to my elder sister. Sunday, July 1: Hangover recovery, biking trip, which I did get to post about. Monday, July 2: Interesting appointment with allergist who also examined my ear, which turns out to have been not OK (burst eardrum), but now is OK (all healed when he looked): hurrah for healing! Followed by premiere of Transformers with Tuesday, July 3: Terribly busy nightmare day at work, followed by totally enjoyable evening starting two-man Horde Undead character team on WoW with my best friend. Wednesday, July 4th: More work in the early morning, followed by morning Turnaround Cruise (i.e. Skulking Old Ironsides in the Harbor) with Saturday, "07/07/07": Picnicon? Maybe I'll get to post some stuff Sunday. Yeah, right.

that_cad is totally sucked in, and talking about a regular Tuesday night thing. Haha, I *knew* I'd lose him to that game... and to think it was only Sunday that he declared that wouldn't happen. Heh. It's really more that I am quick to tease... as *obviously* you have to play it sometime, and I do of course want you to have Best Friend Fun doing something you enjoy.. I'm not THAT much of a ball and chain yet! ;) I have a date with Addiction Watch Swirly, don't worry; I'm not going to be an enabler of a deep addiction. I'm not totally ready to give up Tuesday myself: I've got to work out some time! Only if it's after my workout (and so you two's) will we play, or it would have to be some other night. It may slip from time to time. Especially if I hear from his girlfriend that he's developing no life. ;-) No, what you've got to look out for is a solo Alliance character he plays when I'm not there for the two-man team play. I don't think either of us would play our team chars without the other's permission, but that won't stop him from making others. Especially since he'll need at least one other on the Alliance side so he can join the Wildly Inept Pacifists. Re: Addiction Watch You *did* scoff at me when I suggested you try drinking less coffee yesterday... ;) Re: Addiction Watch I think I had four cups of tea this morning. I might as well give in and start drinking coffee, especially after learning the delights of Starbuck's Dulce De Leche. Re: Addiction Watch I only suggested it since you were feeling headachy and such from NOT having enough, and you know... that's not good. One of us have to care about your health! That's probably common though, but I am not a coffee drinker so I never have that problem. I suppose I should just be glad you are consuming something at all. :P |
Brant running around killing things while my cleric/priest keeps his character alive. Yesterday I learned that you can set up macro-commands so that your character will automatically say certain things when you perform certain actions. So of course I had to go and set up, like, half-a-dozen of those. Osmé says... I haven't really gone down that road in game, for fear of inappropriate outbursts, but I'm happy to join you, especially for our RPing bodyguard schtick. "You dare? Beloved, slay!" and "Save me from these fiends!" sound like generally useful ones to start with. OK, now Re: Osmé says... Heee. There was a warrior in one of Bryant's previous raiding groups who set up a macro to read something very role-played and "for the Alliance!" every time she hit "sunder armor." Every. Time. Which is usually, in a raid setting, five times per beastie. The others almost killed her. Re: Osmé says... I would like to have a macro for targeting someone, having my character point at it, and scream "Kill!". Having maniacally laughter come from my bodyguard as he runs off to comply seems perfectly fitting to me. I also kinda wanna say "Mmmm, num num num" everytime we cannabilize a corpse. It's Not Actually That Good A Story [laughs] It's not that good a story, alas. We had to play "bad guys" to be fair to B, because while I have played all the "good guys" I haven't really played Horde, so we'd be on equal footing as far as game world exploration went. The choice to be flesh-eating undead horrors was due to the fact that B didn't want to pay even more to get the Expansion, and Undead was the second choice for best dressed/most human-like after the pretty pretty Blood Elves (which are Expansion only). Being horrible evil things seems a small price to pay to look good, no? He wanted to play a Warrior, and one of the stronger class pairings in a duo is Warrior/Priest, so I'm playing an easily squished priest, which means I need protection from the various baddies out there. Thus the bodyguard schtick. As for the names, I came up with "Osmé" for my character because Esmé wasn't allowed. It was all B coming up with "Belovéd" for his. Don't fear: according to the WoW Armory character profiling, it's a pretty common name. Oh, and the accent isn't correct, but only becayse I could remember it was option-e + e for the one, but couldn't recall the Apple option key sequence for the other. Re: Osmé says... I getcha. I wasn't sure if (almost.) |
P.S. My friend I hadn't heard anything. I had quite a few fun moments over the past few days, but MY systems have been working (in production, at least). (Knocks on wood.) Whew.. it was something planned so they couldn't use their systems, an upgrade or somesuch, so I figured that meant YOU had to be working on it while she got time off! ;) |
